Strauss' "Capriccio" will be presented in concert form featuring Elsa Dreisig and Bo Skovhus as the Countess and Count, respectively. The ensemble also stars Sebastian Kohlhepp as Flamand, Konstantin Krimmel as Olivier, Mika Kares as La Roche, Ève-Maud Hubeaux as Clairon, Regula Mühlemann as An Italian Singer, and Josh Levell as An Italian Tenor. Christian Thielemann will conduct the Vienna Philharmonic.

Mozart's "Don Giovanni" makes a comeback to the festival in Romeo Castellucci's production. Davide Luciano takes on the title role, alongside Nadezhda Pavlova, Federica Lombardi, Kyle Ketelsen, Dmitry Ulyanov, Julian Prégardien, Ruben Drole, and Anna El-Khashem. Teodor Currentzis will lead the Utopia Orchestra and the Utopia Choir.

Mozart's "La Clemenza di Tito" will grace the stage once more featuring Cecilia Bartoli, Daniel Behle, Alexandra Marcellier, Mélissa Petit, and Ildebrando D’Arcangelo. Robert Carsen will helm the direction, while Gianluca Capuano will lead Les Musiciens du Prince – Monaco and Il Canto di Orfeo.

Mieczysław Weinberg’s “The Idiot” undergoes direction by Krzysztof Warlikowski, featuring Ausrine Stundyte in the lead role, accompanied by Bogdan Volkov, Iurii Samoilov, and Vladislav Sulimsky. Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla will conduct the Vienna Philharmonic for this new production in Salzburg.

Prokofiev’s “The Gambler” debuts at the Salzburg Festival under the direction of Peter Sellars, starring Peixin Chen, Asmik Grigorina, Sean Panikkar, Juan Francisco Gatell, and Violeta Urmana. Timur Zangiev makes his Salzburg Festival debut, leading the Vienna Philharmonic.

French director Mariame Clément makes her Salzburg Festival debut directing Offenbach’s “Les Contes d’Hoffmann.” The ensemble stars Benjamin Bernheim in the titular role, Kathryn Lewek as the four heroines, Christian Van Horn as the villains, and Kate Lindsey as La Muse. Marc Minkowski conducts the Vienna Philharmonic.

Lissette Oropesa and Stéphane Degout take on the lead roles in Thomas’ “Hamlet” alongside Ève-Maud Hubeaux, Jean Teitgen, Julien Henric, and Clive Bayley.
