Festival de Paques | Aix-en-Provence
The Festival de Pâques returns to Aix-en-Provence from 28 March to 12 April 2026 for its 13th edition, opening with the Orchestre National de Lille under Joshua Weilerstein and violinist Renaud Capuçon, the festival's artistic director. This year's edition welcomes the Munich Philharmonic in residence under Lahav Shani, alongside the Zurich Opera Orchestra and Chorus performing Verdi's Requiem under Gianandrea Noseda, and Jordi Savall's Le Concert des Nations for Holy Week. The festival's traditional Bach Passion returns with the St John Passion on Good Friday, conducted by Camille Delaforge with soloists Marie Lys, Marie-Nicole Lemieux, Cyrille Dubois, and Guilhem Worms. Star recitalists include soprano Nadine Sierra, pianists Mao Fujita and Bertrand Chamayou, and a chamber evening featuring Gidon Kremer and Mikhail Pletnev, alongside the Royal Liège Philharmonic with flautist Emmanuel Pahud. Performances take place across venues including the Grand Théâtre de Provence, with nearly 900 artists and nightly programming throughout the festival.
