The Philharmonie de Paris opens its 2026/27 season with over 400 concerts and events, centred on Klaus Mäkelä's final season as music director of the Orchestre de Paris, closing seven years in the role with large-scale choral and symphonic works including Berlioz's Roméo et Juliette and Mahler's Symphonies Nos. 3 and 8. The season's centrepiece is a week-long concert version of Wagner's Ring Cycle, performed by the Zurich Opera Orchestra under Gianandrea Noseda, alongside guest appearances from the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, New York Philharmonic and Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, and soloists including Martha Argerich and Renaud Capuçon.
