Germany's largest opera and concert house opens its 2026/27 season with a run of world-class festivals. October brings The World of John Neumeier, the dance festival curated by the legendary choreographer himself, headlined by the Bayerisches Staatsballett's Illusions – like Swan Lake and Hamburg Ballett. November sees Teodor Currentzis and Utopia take the stage, followed by the Winter Festivals in December and into late January/February 2027. The season builds to the Easter Festival in March 2027, where Joana Mallwitz and Klaus Mäkelä lead Beethoven's Fidelio alongside a rare appearance from the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra.
