The Garsington Opera Festival returns to the Wormsley Estate near Stokenchurch, Buckinghamshire, from 26 May to 28 July 2027, staged in its spectacular glass Opera Pavilion set within the rolling Chiltern Hills. The season brings Wagner's Der fliegende Holländer, Mozart's La clemenza di Tito, Handel's Serse, and Verdi's Falstaff, performed by the festival's resident Philharmonia Orchestra and The English Concert, alongside a new community opera, Exodus, by composer John Barber and writer Jude Christian. Full casting details are due to be announced in October 2026. With performances beginning in the early evening to allow for a long interval dinner amid the estate's lake and gardens, Garsington offers one of England's most idyllic summer opera experiences. As one of the country's leading festival opera houses, demand for the season's performances runs high — book early to secure your seats.
