The 73rd edition of the Festival Puccini returns to Torre del Lago in summer 2027, staged in the open-air Gran Teatro Giacomo Puccini on the shores of Lake Massaciuccoli — the very landscape that inspired the composer's most celebrated works. The world's only festival dedicated entirely to Puccini opens with La Rondine, starring Ermonela Jaho, Alexandra Kurzak, Francesco Meli and Roberto Alagna under conductor Antonino Fogliani, followed by Turandot with a formidable rotating cast including Angela Meade, Lisette Oropesa, Erwin Schrott and Yusif Eyvazov, conducted by Daniel Oren. The festival's acclaimed production of Tosca also returns, starring Anna Netrebko, Ludovic Tézier, Luca Salsi and Vittorio Grigolo. Performed just steps from the Villa Museo where Puccini lived, composed, and is now buried, the festival remains one of the most atmospheric and prestigious opera events in Italy. As the definitive Puccini pilgrimage for opera lovers worldwide, demand for the festival's star-studded casts runs exceptionally high — enquire with us to secure your seats once the full schedule is confirmed.
